Garlic Butter Herb Roast Turkey – Juicy, Flavorful, and Perfect for the Holidays! 🦃✨

Ingredients:

1 whole turkey (12-14 pounds) 🦃
1 cup unsalted butter, softened 🧈
6 cloves garlic, minced 🧄
2 lemons, halved 🍋
Fresh herbs: rosemary, thyme, sage (a handful of each) 🌿
Salt and black pepper to taste 🧂
1 onion, quartered 🧅
1 cup chicken broth

Step-by-Step Directions:

Prep the Oven: Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Make sure your turkey is fully thawed, then pat it dry with paper towels to ensure the skin gets extra crispy! 🦃🔥

Make the Garlic Herb Butter: In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped herbs (rosemary, thyme, sage), salt, and pepper. This butter mixture is the key to a juicy and flavorful turkey! 🧄🌿✨

Butter the Turkey: Gently loosen the skin of the turkey by sliding your fingers under it, and rub about half of the garlic herb butter under the skin. Rub the rest of the butter all over the outside of the turkey for that extra flavor punch. 🍋🧈

Stuff and Season: Stuff the cavity of the turkey with the lemon halves, quartered onion, and some extra sprigs of herbs. These aromatics help infuse flavor while roasting. 🧅🍋

Roast the Turkey: Place the turkey breast-side up on a roasting rack inside a large roasting pan. Pour the chicken broth into the bottom of the pan to keep things moist. Roast the turkey in the preheated oven, basting every 45 minutes with the pan juices. Cook for about 3-3.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C). 🕒🔥

Rest and Carve: Once done, let the turkey rest for at least 20 minutes before carving. This helps the juices redistribute, making every slice juicy and flavorful. 🥰
